At the age of twelve, when I made my first pinhole camera from an oatmeal canister, I fell in love with the science and art of photography. I approach my work as a sport, a science, an art, and an expression. I am drawn to the spark in an eye, a mischievous grin, an individual expression, and magical in-between moments. At the end of our time together, you will walk away with vivid images that will always remind you of a special moment in your life.
Here’s what I believe:
• Treat others better than you would like to be treated.
• I’m a better person because of the people that are in my life.
• Quality wins over quantity every time. I spend the time with my clients and get to know them. Good photographs emerge from being present for the real emotion of a moment, and you can only do that when your subject trusts you.
• Film and digital cameras both offer something unique and surprising. But I am always amazed at the experience film provides. From the photo moment to the lab to print: the entire process is another little lesson in life.
